Supporting Local Education

The Lenawee Intermediate School District (Lenawee ISD) oversees Blissfield Community Schools and Britton Deerfield Schools, as well as nine other local school districts.

The Carroll Road Solar project would provide approximately $790,276 in tax revenue to the Lenawee ISD in year 1 of the project and a total of approximately $10.3 million over the life of the project.

Got Questions?

We get it. Solar can feel new. Here are the most frequently asked questions that we hear and our answers.

“At Lenawee Now, we are all about jobs and tax base for Lenawee County.  With hundreds of construction jobs followed up by four full time operations jobs and an average of $1 million per year in Lenawee based property tax over the next 35 years, the Carroll Road Solar Farm project meets and exceeds these economic development goals.

The jobs and substantial municipal revenue it creates coupled with generating enough alternative energy to power 50,000 homes a year, makes this project easy to be enthusiastic about.”

— James E. Van Doren, Executive Director of Lenawee Now
